A letter from our CEO

In 2007 I started usSnail.com Corporation. I started this with my partner, Rick Fortier. The purpose of this company is to store and send large files that are “too big” to be e-mailed.

Coming from the music, graphics and printing business where large jumbo files are generated, I experienced files and folders that had to be sent via overnight with big extravagant fees applied because they were too large to send via e-mail. There was a need for this service.

The average consumer/business e-mail box will not send more than 5mg or 10mg at a time. We have designed and tested usSnail.com to withstand the rigor and complexity of sending large files and folders. We have sent successfully 4.5G of compressed data, about the size of a DVD to a SnailBOX.

usSnail.com works similar to a server based FTP site, only with sending functions and no complications or failures, plus it is visually file protected. As you may or may not know, if a company gives you the opportunity to visit/logon to their server based FTP site to pick up a file, you are, in some cases, able to see everything in the FTP site, plus you may be able to destroy and/or change their files. How un-secure and un-protected is that?

Strategically placing, within and on both sides of the United States, we have built cross country systems which feature server computer systems, all with large “terra bite plus, plus,” multi-hard drives programmed with RAID 5 redundancy. All are Cisco firewall protected redundant server computers. Each of the computer systems, when a file is uploaded, re-writes to its’ sister server system to insure redundancy, then to each cross country system so as not to ever be in a down or lost situation. All files are backed up to each other, simultaneously. Enough of the tech stuff. Point is; you cannot loose your stored files.

To get started you simply create a SnailBOX. When you create your SnailBOX, you are creating an automatic backup within a duplicate SnailBOX on another cross country system. When you upload to one, you are uploading to two. How safe and secure is that?

Once you go on to the site, www.ussnail.com, register and log into your SnailBOX, you will see what the file upload/send functions are. This is totally safeguarded and monitored by GeoTrust, one of the most trusted SSL companies around. No one can see your files, nor can you see theirs. The files are totally encrypted when they are uploaded and downloaded and anyone working on the server, without having both your “User ID” and your “Password”, which you create, cannot see anyone’s data stored.

The SnailBOX is designed to grow with your needs. You can start out small then move to a larger SnailBOX, with a click of your mouse, when ready. If you need more bandwidth to transfer you files, you can increase that as well. Start small; then grow as you need.

I would like you to try our site and give us your feedback. We have many record companies and music producers alike using our services to transfer MP3 and Mpeg songs, as well as graphic files back and forth. We have doctors and medical practices, law offices and professional service offices using a SnailBOX. Real estate and mortgage appraisal offices are storing and sending large pictures and contracts while transferring the saved documents and images. .

There are many “off premise” storing locations, but none that allow one to send one of the saved files directly. Get started today. I know that you will enjoy the ease and peace of mind of having your files and folders safe and secure on usSnail.com.

Sincerely,
Allan M Jones
